Nikita is an artist and surface designer based in Milan, illustrating for Water & Wines since its first puzzles in 2020, from the most beloved wine regions of Italy, France, and Spain to the gastronomic landscape of New York City. Created in a delightfully geeky collaboration with Mathilde Iwar and Aurélia Chaudagne.

Nikita’s maps come together over hundreds of hours of drawing, researching, and layering stories piece by piece. He draws on his background in history and print design to craft artworks that reward a closer look. Nearly every one of the 1,000 puzzle pieces holds a distinct detail or meaning: some tell stories directly, others reveal symbols that hint at cultural curiosities.
